Symptoms After Accidents Aren't Always Immediate

Have you ever had an exceptionally active day and felt fine in the moment,  but experienced significant pain days and weeks later?  The same can be true for automobile accidents, too.  Even when these collisions may appear minor at first, they can have lasting physical and emotional effects that can impact both your work and personal life.

Greyhound Buses Sued After Serious Wreck on PA Highway

Although we may think more commonly about car and truck accidents, bus accidents are not uncommon, either.  Recently, Greyhound was sued for injuries its passengers sustained while riding one of their buses from New York City to Cleveland.  According to news reports, the bus crashed after the driver fell asleep at the wheel.  One of the 43 passengers died and many sustained severe injuries.  One passenger recently received a payment of $27M from the bus company due to the severity of his injuries, which included an amputation of one of his legs and over 30 surgeries related to other injuries.

RV Driver Goes Wrong Way Down Highway, Kills Two

Highway accidents, especially those involving larger vehicles, can have serious and deadly consequences.  Recently, two teenagers in Florida were killed after an RV crossed lanes and hit their car head-on.  News reports state that their parents sought legal action and were awarded $10M as a result of the action. Unfortunately, this tragedy is all too common on our nation's roads and highways.

Working with Chronic Pain

One of the main difficulties surrounding symptoms of chronic pain is how it influences every aspect of your life for extended periods of time.  Chronic pain is often not a disorder that changes its symptoms or decreases across situations or length of time.  Due to this, chronic pain can lead to long-term problems in other aspects of your life, such as socially, athletically, and in workplace performance. Unfortunately, these problems may not go away or decrease substantially over time.

Recalled Jogging Strollers and Potential Injuries

If you are a family with young children, you may have heard about the recent controversy over a certain type of jogging stroller. This stroller has been reported to have caused hundreds of accidents due to a quick-release front wheel that may come off unexpectedly.  This can cause the strollers to flip, seriously injuring the person pushing the stroller and the baby inside.  This is obviously a scary, harmful, and potentially deadly situation.

Dog Attack In PA Area

Unfortunately, another dog bite case has made state news recently.  In the Erie, PA area, a child was seriously injured after being attacked by a neighbor's dog.  The child's injuries were serious enough that he was transported to Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh. On top of the injuries, the news reported that the dog was not current on its rabies shots.
