- When entering a crosswalk, yield to pedestrians and leave a good amount of space between the crosswalk and your car. That way, other cars will know that people are crossing, too.

- Pay extra attention in school zones, even if the flashing lights are not on during morning arrival and afternoon dismissal times. Many children use the facilities before and after school, and may not pay attention to cars on the street.
