Another teenage boy in Thompson Township, PA was recently injured in an ATV accident, as reported by the Herald-Mail Media. The report notes that the boy was driving an ATV from a field onto a road in the early evening, when he was struck by an oncoming car. The teenager was flown to an area hospital for treatment of his injuries.
As noted in previous posts, ATV use can be potentially dangerous, even in seemingly safe situations. Child drivers especially account for a large portion of ATV injuries and deaths. It is imperative to exercise caution when riding your ATV. This includes wearing a helmet and remaining at a safe speed.
